Slidematic is a 3rd generation, family-owned American manufacturing company specializing in precision cold headed fasteners. We have over 65 years of production expertise in a diverse range of industries – from automotive fasteners, rivets and cold formed / CNC net shaped parts to custom drilling, tapping and shaving.
Why Cold Heading
In cold heading, the raw material is formed rather than cut. The cold heading process manipulates the finished part’s overall grain structure. This unbroken grain flow gives the part greater strength-to-weight ratio for optimum durability and cost-effective manufacturing. Furthermore, the net or near net shape of the part can be achieved to eliminate or reduce the need for secondary operations and greatly reduce scrap.

With everything from conventional automatic bar machines to rotary transfer and CNC machining centers, Seward Screw has the advanced, state-of-the-art equipment to deliver the highest quality screw machine components.
Our machines use the latest technology to machine bar stock or cold formed blanks with a wide variety of diameters, lengths and tolerances. Whether your parts call for steel, copper, brass, aluminum, stainless steel or other material; no matter the complexity of the shape, we will use our breadth of experience to deliver the best possible solution.
